A fictional autobiography and mixed narrative story centered on a young writer who sets out to write his first book. He decides he needs to live a good story to write a good story, and must learn about the literary world, for his book to be great. This desire to learn and live a good story sets him and his friends on a spiritual journey of revelry, reverie, and self-discovery in a magical place called IV (Isla Vista).
